Talking in your sleep? Here's why
Are you someone who's been told you talk in your sleep? Then you've probably been dying to know why. Researchers found that 'sleep-talking' could answer a lot of questions about what's lurking in our subconscious. "These sorts of behaviours can happen with people who are quite hard on themselves… "they’re perfectionists, but they often hold back on saying what they really want to say." Dr Nerina Ramlakhan, sleep therapist and author Studies found that men sleep talk more than women, and the parasomnia can be quite verbally abusive at times. “[Sleep-talkers are] generally reflecting some sort of aspect of a worry." Prof Jim Horne, former director of sleep research The researchers noted people tend to grow out of it, and we shouldn't read too much into what comes of our mouths at night.
