People may think i am strange for this (and i've been told i am, even outside of videos like this); i'm not particularly concerned. Seeing a New York City rat in the middle of the sidewalk not moving/barely moving is not a thing you see every day. This was a bittersweet moment. If one hates rats or finds them disgusting then they may not see any value to this video. On the other hand, it may make someone think about how fragile life is, regardless of species.
