The firm behind the 'Fearless Girl' statue underpaid women

Did State Street, the film behind the 'Fearless Girl' statue, underpay its female executives? That was investigators concluded after an analysis showed the firm paid male executives a higher base pay, bonus pay, and total compensation. State Street did not agree with the findings and claimed it is willing to pay $5 million to settle the federal allegations once and for all. The company's spokesperson also released a statement in defense of its mission: "[State Street is] committed to equal pay practices and evaluates on an ongoing basis our internal processes to be sure our compensation, hiring and promotions programs are nondiscriminatory."
