6 - PortAventura - PortAventura World is a theme park and entertainment resort located in Tarragona, Spain. Built in 1995, the park now attrs over 4 million visitors a year, making it the most visited theme park in Spain and the 6th most visited park in Europe. The park is made up of 6 hotels, a theme park and the Costa Caribe Aquatic Park. PortAventura boasts 36 rides including 8 roller coasters and 4 water rides, located across 5 themed areas based on civilizations, including Mediterrania, China, Far West and Polynesia. A separate Sesame Street park caters to children. The resort will add a 2nd theme park, named Ferrari Land, in 2017. Ferrari Land will include a new hotel, car racing simulators, and a theme park, based on Italy, including recreations of Venices Piazza San Marco and Romes Colosseum.\r

5 - Six Flags Great Adventure - Six Flags Great Adventure is an amusement and water park located in Jackson, New Jersey. Built in 1974, the park caters to over 3 million visitors a year. The park contains 11 themed areas, including Main Street, Fantasy Forrest, Adventure Alley, Adventure Seaport, Movietown, Lakefront, Frontier Adventures, Plaza del Carnaval, Golden Kingdom, Boardwalk, and Bugs Bunny National Park, which caters to children. The parks roller coasters have won numerous awards and includes Nitro, rated the 3rd best steel coaster in the world, Bizarro, the worlds first floorless coaster, The sprawling park 510 acre park includes a 350 acre Safari animal park, making it the second largest park in the world after Disneys Animal Kingdom. The park boasts over 50 rides, including 13 roller coasters and 2 water rides. \r

4 - Tokyo Disneyland - Tokyo Disneyland is a 115 acre theme park, located in Chiba, Japan. It hosts over 17 million visitors a year, making it the second most visited theme park in the world. It was constructed by Walt Disney Imagineering, the same company that build Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and when it opened in 1983, it was the first Disney Park to be built outside of the United States. Tokyo Disneyland has seven themed areas, including the four classic Disney lands – Adventureland, Westernland, Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, in addition to two kids themed areas, Critter Country and Mickeys Toontown, and the World Bazaar, the main shopping area. The park includes all of the same attrions youd find at Disneyland and Walt Disney Worlds Magic Kingdom, with a few exceptions. \r

3- Tivoli Gardens - Tivoli Gardens is a 20 acre amusement park located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Opened in 1843, it is the second oldest theme park in the world. Tivolis founder convinced the King to let him open the park by telling him “when the people are amusing themselves, they do not think about politics”. The park now hosts close to 5 million visitors a year, making it the most visited theme park in Scandinavia, and the fourth most visited park in Europe. The park boasts 27 rides, including 4 roller coasters, a theatre, band stands, restaurants, cafes, flower gardens, and themed buildings in an exotic Orient style. The park is known for its wooden roller coaster named, which was built in 1914 and is one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the world. \r

2 - Canadas Wonderland - Canadas Wonderland is a 330 acre theme park located in Vaughan, Ontario. Opened in 1981, it was the first theme park in Canada and hosts almost 4 million visitors a year. The park has 9 themed areas, including International Street, Medieval Faire, Action Zone, White Water Canyon, Splash Works Water Park, and 4 childrens areas - Happyland, Kidzville, Zoom Zone, and Planet Snoopy. It boasts a total of 69 rides and has the third most roller coasters in the world, with 16. It is known for its Vortex coaster, which was Canadas first suspended roller coaster, Flight Deck, Canadas first inverted roller coaster, and the Mighty Canadian Minebuster, Canadas longest wooden roller coaster. \r

1 - Disneyworld - Walt Disney World is an entertainment complex covering over 27,000 acres in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. It opened in 1971 and is the most visited vacation resort in the world, hosting over 52 million people per year! The complex includes two water parks – Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, 4 theme parks – Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom, 4 golf courses, 27 themed hotels, the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and a Wedding Pavillion. The massive complex employs over 70,000 “cast members” and spends more than $1.6 billion dollars a year just on payroll and benefits. It is the single largest employer in the United States
