The NBA has made some drastic changes to the All-Star Game this year

The NBA just made some drastic changes to this season's All-Star game. According to USA Today's Jeff Zillgitt, the new format will eliminate conference vs. conference and will instead have the top two voter getters act as captains and pick their team. While the captains will still have to pick players who were selected for the game, this allows for the teams to be more competitive, with teammate possibly playing teammate. “I’m thrilled with what the players and the league have done to improve the All-Star Game, which has been a priority for all of us."
