On Monday, Facebook announced a new game plan to prevent online meddling in elections. After the Russian ad buys that may have swayed political opinion during the 2016 U.S. election, the company will hire 1,000 people to review ads while investing more in its software. Facebook said in statement so we’re changing our ads review system to pay more attention to these signals. Back in May, the company promised to bring at least 3,000 more people on board to ride the site of graphic videos depicting violence, murder, and suicide. Business organizations that want to run ads about U.S. federal elections will also need to prepare documentation moving forward.
