I think in any country, people are not super open and welcome more or less just like any minority.\r
\r
However, every country has different dynamics and social views.\r
I thought Canada, for example, was very gay friendly country. When I lived there, I was surprised so many gay people dont hesitate to come out and be proud of being gay. It seemed to me almost everyone has no prejudice or something at all.\r
\r
The question is, what about Japan? Actually, I quite often get the question which how Japanese ually treat gay. \r
So I decided to pretend to be a gay on this street interview so that you can get to know how Japanese ually re to a gay.\r
\r
During the interview, I honestly didnt feel any uncomfortable or bad about their behavior to me. It seemed to me they were quite polite, a little bit shy and friendly as they treat other people.\r
\r
So maybe, most Japanese people are quite open-minded to gay, especially young generation nowadays. \r
\r
By the way, gay or lesbian celebrities are pretty popular in Japanese entertainment media. They are on TV everyday.\r
Also, a few years ago, there was a wave of ual lesbians in manga.\r
