Were breaking down the flagship prism optic from Vortex Optics.the Spitfire 3x! Having a fixed 3x magnification, updated recticle over the 1x (designed for longer distance shooting), and allowing for a good field of view through crystal clear glass, the Spitfire 3x is hard to beat!\r
\r
The 3x BDCs are setup to shoot a 5.56 round all the way to 500 yards, using a 100-yard zero, without much trouble. After looking into the ballistics, we determined that the Spitfire 3x BDCs will also work for a .308 bullet if desired, with slight adjustments.\r
\r
The Vortex Spitfire 3x picks up right where the standard Spitfire leaves off.finding its purpose mainly at medium to long range shooting. Vortex added rail sections to the top of the Spitfire 3x to mount a Razor Red Dot, RMR, etc, that helps take care of the close range shots, making this setup exponentially versatile!\r
