Faras Bee or french beans or cooked in fresh flavorful spices and coated with fresh grated coconut. . Makes a good bhaji to carry for tiffins! Farasbi chi bhaji (French Beans Vegetable)
Ingredients: • 1 bowl fresh French beans • 5-6 green chillies • 10-12 curry leaves • 1 tsp mustard seeds • ½ tsp turmeric powder • 1 tsp asafoetida • ½ bowl freshly grated coconut • salt as required • 1 tbsp oil Method:
• Wash French beans and chop it. • Heat oil in a pan and add asafoetida, mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped green chillies and turmeric powder. Let them sizzle up. • Add chopped French beans and saute it nicely. • Add salt and mix well. • Press and cover with small plate. Let it cook on a medium flame for about 5-7 minutes till French beans cooked (Do not add water. Let it cook on steam). • Once it gets cooked, add freshly grated coconut and mix well. • Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with phulka.
