More than 14,000 pirates invaded the British seaside town of Penzance on Sunday (August 27) in an effort to break the world record for the number of pirates in one place.
The current record of 14,231 is held by Hastings.
Buccaneers, Captain Jacks, and all manner of swashbucklers garb could be seen on the promenade.
Sadly the pirates failed to break the record but many said they were determined to try again next year.
