by Andrew CaringiThousands filled the streets across India for competitive human pyramid festivals this week, as part of the Janmashtami holiday.Human pyramid competitions, known as Dahi Handi, are an official sport in the state of Maharashtra and the biggest competition is held in Mumbai. Teams race to reach a hanging clay pot filled with curd and be the first team to break their pot. The winners received nearly $40,000 in prize money this year.
