Most Sad Tear Jerker Movies: In Love with Life DVD Classic

In Love with Life is a phenomenal tear jerker from the 1930s. Featuring loads of quintessentially ‘30s culture, the story surrounds a grumpy millionaire who disowns his daughter. Following the stock market crash of ’29, the surly old fellow realizes how much he loves his family, in particular his grandson played by the affable Dickie Moore. With the pain of loss and the joy of reconciliation, this movie is perfect for a bowl of popcorn and a box of tissues. Also not to be missed are the performances by the famous Meglin Kiddies, a youth performance that produced stars like Shirley Temple. The Kids perform in Kiddie Kabaret, an unusual relic of the 1930s. In Love with Life excels at classic sentimentality and a provides a healthy serving of vintage American culture.
