British Diplomats Visit Mosul for First Time Since Liberation From Islamic State

A UK diplomatic delegation, led by Consul General John Sharp, visited Mosul on August 9 “to see progress on humanitarian, stabilisation and security priorities.” It was the first official UK visit to the city since its liberation from Islamic State.Sharp said the UK had spent £200 million ($259 million) helping redevelop the city.
