Civilians Take Refuge From Typhoon Nesat Winds Near Taipei MRT Entrance

Typhoon Nesat lashed Taiwan on July 29, first hitting the southeastern coast of the island before sweeping north towards the capital city of Taipei.As of 8 pm on July 29, wind gusts of about 107 mph had pummeled the island, according to Taipei Times, and flood and landslide alerts were issued for 423 locations in seven counties, according to Focus Taiwan. Train services and flights were also suspended.This footage, taken in Taipei, shows people taking refuge from the typhoon’s winds in the entrance to the Longshan Temple MRT Station.
