This CosPlay-Loving Dad Built His Daughter A Mech Suit

by Anthony FalcoMechanical cosplayer Mike Carambat is now a contender for world’s coolest dad for building a walking D.Va mecha for his daughter.Carambat spent over six months designing and constructing the outfit to resemble D.Va from the popular video game “Overwatch.” In the game, D.Va is a gum-chewing heroine who roams around in an armored mech suit.To construct the suit, Carambat used simple tools around the house. He used an old wheelchair to form the base of the torso, which serves as the steering mechanism. Not only does the mech also feature a sound system with D.Va voiceovers, it’s even equipped with a fan to keep the pilot cool.Carambat says he spent less than $1,000 on building the suit.
