Google Glass gets a second chance

Google Glass is making a comeback. Alphabet's Google has officially launched the "Enterprise Edition" of its smart glasses hardware. Google detailed a few existing use cases, including in the agricultural machinery manufacturing industry, medical field and logistics with DHL, in a Medium post. The major upgrades between the original Glass and the enterprise version are a better camera, extended battery life, faster Wi-Fi and processor, and a new red light that turns on when recording video. Glass EE module is now decoupled entirely from integrated frames, which can be detached and reattached to Glasses-compatible frames. A recent Forrester Research report predicts that by 2025, nearly 14.4 million US workers will wear smart glasses.
