Metzeler 6 Day's Extreme Rear Tyre Review

This is a Life of the tyre review of the Metzeler 6 days extreme. I have reviewed this tyre, so you can decide if this enduro tyre is for you.

Metzeler has designed this tyre for extreme off-road and for competition enduro racing.

The 6 days extreme tyre is DOT approved for short road travel linking your favorite trails.

I have used this tyre a 120/90-18 in all conditions on a KTM 350 EXC and using it with the tubliss system at 8 psi.

The durometer reading for the tyre was around 72 with the centre, shoulder and side knobs having the same reading.

The top of the tyre or crown was flexible and the sidewall is soft, making the 6 day’s extreme sensitive to tyre pressure.

If your only concern is tyre grip then you might want to change the tyre at 600km, because just after that there is a sharp drop off in traction.

Overall – Metzeler’s 6 day’s extreme tyre is a good all terrain tyre with reasonable durability.
The only place this tyre let me down was on mossy rocks and despite having small FIM approved knobs – there was no issues in the mud or sand.
