Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from a wildfire blazing in the Verdant Creek area of Kootenay National Park, located near the border of Alberta and British Columbia on Monday.This July 17 footage from Cascade Mountain at Banff National Park shows plumes of smoke from the wildfire, which prompted the closure of parts of Kootenay and Banff national parks.The fire is the latest in a series of wildfires burning in British Columbia, which have displaced an estimated 37,000 people.
