With online food ordering taking off, one startup is attempting to tackle alcohol. L.A.-based alcohol delivery company Saucey has raised $5.4 million in Series A funding. All together, Saucey has raised $10.2 million. Rules are strict; Saucey requires an ID upon delivery and you have to be the person who placed the order. The company is looking to break into bigger markets, like Texas and Florida, in the future. The longer term vision is to provide customers with everything you’d expect to find if you were going to the store yourself: mixers, snacks, cocktail packages, cheeses.
