Muslim Teen Killed Over Allegations He Ate Beef

The attack was the most recent in a series of violent conflicts in India between Muslims and Hindus over cows.The boy was reportedly returning from Delhi where he’d gone to shop with family members in celebration of Eid, marking the end of Ramadan. The incident erupted after he was accused by other passengers of carrying a package of beef. Many Hindus observe a religious ban on eating meat from cows.The teen’s death is the latest in a series of violent incidents in India between Hindu extremists and Muslims. Twenty-eight people are reported killed in conflicts over eating or producing beef, and more than 100 injured.
