Car and trailer jackknife on major road in southern England

Footage has emerged of a trailer jackknifing the car towing it after the load got caught in a hedge in Yeovil last year.

"It was an incident waiting to happen and must have been obvious to the driver but was ignored," the filmer wrote online.

"The inevitable happened and the timber caught in the hedge, pulled the trailer and jackknifed the car."

"Very lucky that at the time there was nothing approaching," he added.

According to him, the accident resulted in the suspension being broken on the trailer and a slightly bent car.
