National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) personnel and mining experts have plunged into action to rescue an 18-month-old girl, who accidentally fell into a 40-feet deep open bore well at a village in Rangareddy district in Telangana on Thursday evening. Veena fell into the open bore well at around 6.45 pm when she was playing with her elder sister. While pumping oxygen into the well continuously, the authorities simultaneously started digging a parallel well to reach the girl. Continuous efforts are being made to rescue the girl. Indications are she is still alive.]
