The Golden State Warriors have reached the NBA Finals for the third straight year after they swept the Spurs Monday night in Oakland. However, they did so while missing a very important piece of their team: Head coach Steve Kerr. Kerr, who has battled back issues for the last two years, was recently able to travel with the team for the first time since taking an indefinite leave of absence on April 23. Kerr told The Undefeated's Marc Spears, when asked about his status. Mike Brown has since been the man at the helm for the Dubs. The Warriors will have nine days off before the NBA Finals begin June 1.
