The Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is the most exclusive world event, tradition dedicated to cars and motorcycles. The long tradition of the event began in 1929, when in Cernobbio, Lombard town in the province of Como, was organized for the first time an exhibition of innovations in the automotive industry, the "Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este". There followed a decade of history, rich in events. In 1999 the BMW Group has taken on the sponsorship of the competition, and since 2005 BMW Group Classic, along with the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este, is the organizer of this prestigious exhibition of rarities, which each year attracts thousands of fans and participants from all part of the world.
