Sun Belt RISE Program member Garrett Mansfield, a senior at Appalachian State University, travelled to New Orleans to talk to fans young and old on their experience at the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championships. From first timers to 26-year veterans of the tournament, fans from all over travelled to New Orleans to get a glimpse of March Madness in the Big Easy.

The Sun Belt Conference RISE Program (Raising the Industry through Sports and Education). is a partnership between the Sun Belt Conference and its 13 member institutions that gives one student on each campus the unique opportunity to act as a standalone digital media correspondent for the conference office. Each student aspires to have a career in digital media and has worked closely with Sun Belt Conference staff in developing each of their stories to tell the stories of student-athletes in a unique, intriguing and most importantly honest way.
