Second Annual Dribble Drive and Sun Belt Saturday Takes Over at Sun Belt Basketball Championship

Sun Belt RISE Program member Garrett Mansfield, a senior at Appalachian State University, travelled to New Orleans to talk to participants in the second annual Sun Belt Saturday festival and Dribble Drive, presented by Take 5 Oil Change. Hundreds of local children received a free t-shirt and commemorative Sun Belt basketball for participating in the Dribble Drive. All participants received free food and tickets to the men's semifinals games of the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Championship.

Garrett Mansfield is a senior majoring Electronic Media and Broadcasting at Appalachian State University. His minor is business.

The Sun Belt Conference RISE Program (Raising the Industry through Sports and Education). is a partnership between the Sun Belt Conference and its 13 member institutions that gives one student on each campus the unique opportunity to act as a standalone digital media correspondent for the conference office. Each student aspires to have a career in digital media and has worked closely with Sun Belt Conference staff in developing each of their stories to tell the stories of student-athletes in a unique, intriguing and most importantly honest way.
