Robert Lowe ran for 248 yards on 30 carries with three touchdowns, including a game long 54-yarder in the fourth quarter, to help lead Texas State to a 36-18 win over South Alabama on Saturday.

Tyler Jones threw for 105 yards and ran for 71 and a touchdown, while Brandon McDowell returned an Aleem Sunanon missed 53-yard field goal 100 yards for a touchdown for the Bobcats (2-4, 1-1 Sun Belt).

Sunanon hit a 32-yard field goal to give South Alabama an early 3-0 lead. Texas State seized control from there, however, reeling off 26 unanswered points capped off by a 16-yard Lowe TD run to take a 26-3 lead in late into the third quarter, effectively putting the game out of reach.
