Bill Cosby announced this morning that he will not testify at his criminal trial on June 5th, which involves allegations that he sexually assaulted a Temple University employee in 2004. Cosby's announcement came as part of an interview he did with Michael Smerconish on his radio show on SiriusXM, where the host asked if public perception had changed following the number of women who accused him of sexual assault. “I think that the numbers came because the numbers prior to the numbers didn’t work. So the piling on so to speak is a way, and certainly an impressive way, to get public opinion to come to the other side.” The former comedian closed the interview by saying that he wants people to "understand [his] work as an artist, a performer."
