Detective School Dropouts is a 1986 action-comedy co-starring and written by David Landsberg and Lorin Dreyfuss for The Cannon Group. Two bumbling private detectives get themselves hired to find a missing person. They quickly find themselves in the middle of a mob war that takes place between New York City and Rome, when it turns out that the missing person is somebody the mob wants to stay missing.

David Landsberg (sometimes credited as Dave Landsburg) is an American actor, writer, producer and director who was born in Brooklyn, New York. Landsberg graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in business and marketing and soon found himself working at a large advertising firm, but he was not happy with it and quickly decided he wanted to follow his dream of acting and doing voiceover.
