Forget flying cars, Elon Musk sees vehicles traveling underground 

Elon Musk's proposal is a quite elaborate effort to quell traffic troubles in dense cities. The Tesla CEO founded a venture called The Boring Company to design an innovative underground car tunnelling system to beat traffic. Under the proposal, cars would travel on electric trolleys at up to speeds of 124 mph. Musk recently told an audience at TED that his tunnels would ease congestion and considerably cut down on traveling times.
