Amazon is gearing up to release a new version of their Echo product on Tuesday that merges the smart speaker and touchscreen technology. The new Echo Show will be powered by Amazon’s AI assistant Alexa. The speaker will include a seven-inch touchscreen and a front-facing camera that will allow users to make video calls. The Wall Street Journal said that the Echo Show will be priced around $230, as the current Echo retails for $179.99. It was reported that Amazon’s new device will begin pre-orders on May 9 while shipping will begin on June 28.
