The Provincetown Playhouse is set to be demolished by NYU, however, a community of theatre lovers, playwrights, actors and activists are trying to save the theatre. Tomorrow NYU will hold a public hearing to announce its final decision regarding the Playhouse, while community activists hold a protest rally outside. If you'd like to participate, contact the Playhouse at 133 MacDougal before 6 pm. A petition is available to sign at Manhattan Theatre Source 177, MacDougal Street. There is also a petition online at gvshp.org.

The acclaimed rock musical Passing Strange will be the first-ever Broadway show to get a Digital Exclusive Release from iTunes. The shows Original Cast Recording will be available on the digital iTunes store today, May 27th, with a physical release slated for July. The original cast album of the production was recorded in front of a live audience in a recording studio on stage at the Belasco Theatre.

Ghostlight Records is also releasing the original cast recording of In The Heights on June 3. The original Broadway Cast Album contains 23 tracks of Latin, Salsa and Hip-Hop infused music spread out over two CD's. All of the music from the show was conceived and written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. In The Heights has been nominated for 13 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics).

Tony Award nominee Rufus Swell (Rock 'n' Roll) will star in The Eleventh Hour, an adaptation of a British series about a government agent who saves people from science. The Eleventh Hour will air on CBS.
