Game Over: Nintendo discontinues the NES Classic Edition
  • 7 years ago
Nostalgic gamers are out of luck, Nintendo is discontinuing their NES Classic Edition in North America. The plug-and-play console was first launched in November 2016, but Nintendo couldn’t keep up with the overwhelming demand for the system. The company said that it sold out immediately after it was announced, selling 200,000 units across the U.S. We understand that it has been difficult for many consumers to find a system, and for that we apologize. We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product.
