Tyra Banks Named New Host of 'America's Got Talent'

Tyra Banks is used to finding top models, so the fact that she's going to be the new host of America’s Got Talent should be a smooth transition.
Us Magazine reports that judge Howie Mandel was first to make the announcement that AGT is replacing Nick Cannon with Tyra.
He tweeted, "America strike a pose, #AGT has a brand new host. Welcome to
The fam."
Tyra also announced her excitement via social media, saying "surprise! Tyty is the new host of AGT! Can't wait to work with new fam."
Of course she mentioned the judging panel, Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell.
Tyra is taking the place of Cannon, who controversially resigned after the network apparently threatened to fire him due to content in his Showtime special. While many wanted him to stay, with Tyra’s replacement, it sounds like AGT will be getting quite the makeover.
