The World Health Organization (WHO) has created a novel list of most threatening bacteria. These bacteria are deemed most resistant to bacteria, have high mortality rates, and are prevalent throughout many communities. The WHO divided the list between critical, high, and medium priorities, with the most threatening bacteria being Acinetobacter baumannii High on the list are "gram negative" bacteria, which linked to hospital-acquired infections, like nursing homes. The WHO wants to push initiatives for newer developments of drugs to fight off these bacteria. By 2050, if no action is taken then these bacteria can claim up to 10 million victims.
