LONDON — A British woman with a track record for taking things to the extreme has outdone herself yet again, this time by cutting off her pinky finger.

Torz Reynolds, 30, has tattoos and piercings all over her body, so she’s clearly no stranger to body art. In 2014, after a boyfriend broke up with her, she let him know she was over him by slicing off a tattoo of his name, then had it delivered to him in a jar. She even tracked the package to make sure he received it.

For her latest stunt, after a five-day countdown of photos on Facebook that had people wondering whether she was joking or serious, she grabbed a pair of bolt cutters and popped her pinky off. She then posted the photos on her feed for all to see, explaining how she did it, and how she’s keeping the wound from becoming infected.

Many users online wish she was though, and are worried that by posting her unique brand of self-expression, she’s actually normalizing self-mutilation. Some commenters think she needs psychiatric help, and to those people she replies with snarky replies and laughter emojis.
