Some Breitbart Employees Threaten To Leave If Milo Stays

A number of employees at Breitbart who are outraged by Milo Yiannopoulos’ comments about pedophilia are reportedly threatening to leave if he isn’t fired.

Milo Yiannopoulos, a senior editor at Breitbart, is facing backlash over his comments about pedophilia.
The Washington Post reports that the remarks made by Yiannopoulos in the now heavily circulating video include, “Pedophilia is not a sexual attraction to somebody 13 years old, who is sexually mature. Pedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty. Pedophilia is attraction to people who don’t have functioning sex organs yet who have not gone through puberty.”
A number of employees at Breitbart who are outraged by the view Yiannopoulos expressed are threatening to leave if he isn’t fired.
One of them, also a senior editor, told the Washingtonian, “The fact of the matter is that there’s been so many things that have been objectionable about Milo over the last couple of years, quite frankly. This is something far more sinister. If the company isn’t willing to act, there are at least half a dozen people who are willing to walk out over it.”
The controversial statements were made public last January, but only recently began to receive wide-ranging attention, notes The Hill.
They have thus far resulted in the American Conservative Union canceling Yiannopoulos’ scheduled appearance at its Conservative Political Action Convention (CPAC) conference.
Further, the Post notes that the Breitbart editor’s book deal with Simon & Schuster has been pulled.
