A large section of Borussia Dortmund's stadium was empty on Saturday as the Bundesliga team played Wolfsburg - punishment for planned violence a week earlier by some Dortmund fans.
Around 25-thousand fans were unable to take their seats in the closed section of the stadium, although some seemed to have got around the closure and could be seen waving Dortmund flags in the visitors' area.
The German football federation issued nationwide stadium bans against 88 Borussia Dortmund fans who were apparently intent on violence at the side's Bundesliga game in Darmstadt last Saturday.
