3D-Printing With Metal Just Got Easier

by Jeff DonlanMarkforged, a 3D-printer manufacturer, has just released a printer that makes metal products. The Metal X uses metal powder, then surrounds the created product with plastic. The plastic dissolves and the user is left with a metal object. Markforged uses the same technology for its carbon fiber printer. Metal X can print a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and titanium. This design is much smaller than most metal 3D-printers, which can take up an entire room. The Metal X can be used to produce parts for automotive, medical, and other industries.
