Footage of flooding on the A19 in North Tyneside after a water main burst, causing traffic chaos during this morning's rush hour.

The video shows traffic creeping along at an excruciating 5 mph after both lanes of the main road, near Holystone Roundabout, flooded.

Police have reportedly told commuters and other drivers to avoid the area.
