George H. W. Bush won't attend Donald Trump's inauguration, reports ABC News.

President George H.W. Bush has officially declined the invitation to Donald Trump’s inauguration due to health reasons.
In a letter which has since been posted to ABC News’ Facebook page, Bush writes to the president-elect, “Barbara and I are so sorry we can’t be there for your inauguration on January 20th. My doctor says if I sit outside in January, it likely will put me six feet under. Same for Barbara. So I guess we’re stuck in Texas.”
Bush then adds, “But we will be with you and the country in spirit.”
He concludes the message by wishing Trump the very best and by offering his help as needed.
Bush, who is 92 years old, has been hospitalized since the weekend; his spokesman, Jim McGrath, revealed in a tweet on Wednesday that the former president “...was taken to [Houston Methodist Hospital] [Saturday] for shortness of breath, has responded very well to treatments. Hope to have him out soon.”
Politico reports that the Obamas, George W. Bush, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Jimmy Carter are still expected to attend Trump’s inauguration.
