President Obama gives farewell address
President Barack Obama delivered his farewell speech Tuesday night. It focused on long-lasting American ideals and his commitment to his vision for more change. "Tonight it's time for me to say thanks "You made me a better president. You made me a better man." Obama's speech was met with many cheers throughout from his crowd of supporters, former aides and current White House staff. He said he was committed to a peaceful transition of power. But he warned that going forward Democrats shouldn't blindly follow Donald Trump. "Democracy does not require uniformity," Obama said. "Our founders quarreled and compromised, and expected us to do the same. But they knew that democracy does require a basic sense of solidarity -- the idea that for all our outward differences, we are all in this together; that we rise or fall as one."
