Families of Orlando shooting victims sue Google, Facebook, Twitter
  • 7 years ago
The families of three Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting victims filed a lawsuit against Google, Facebook, and Twitter for allegedly spreading ISIS propaganda. In their complaint, they said the three platforms "provided the terrorist group ISIS with accounts they use to spread extremist propaganda, raise funds, and attract new recruits." "Without Defendants Twitter, Facebook, and Google (YouTube), the explosive growth of ISIS over the last few years into the most feared terrorist group in the world would not have been possible," the lawsuit reads. Gunman Omar Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS before killing 49 people.
