Donald Trump’s Presumed Michigan Win Is Made Official

The Michigan Board of State Canvassers has made Donald Trump’s presumed victory official, announcing on Monday that he received 10,704 more votes than Hillary Clinton.

The Michigan Board of State Canvassers has made Donald Trump’s presumed victory official, announcing on Monday that he received 10,704 more votes than Hillary Clinton, reports NPR. 
That difference comes out to well below 1 percent, making it the closest Oval Office race in Michigan’s history, notes ABC News.
Michigan is among the states Jill Stein, Green Party presidential candidate, intends to petition for a recount.
Though she has not yet officially done so, Chris Thomas, the State Elections Director, said preparations have been made to begin that effort on Friday. 
Stein has said that she doesn’t expect recount of the votes in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan to change the outcome of the election, but does believe it is important to assure Americans that the, “voting system...is secure.”
