The 44th Annual American Music Awards took place on November 20, 2016, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
This year’s ceremony was filled with plenty of performances and poorly executed banter, but that’s to be expected from this type of show. Hosts Jay Pharoah and Gigi Hadid wasted no time in setting up Donald Trump digs, which the audience seemed to nervously laugh at.
