There is no enmity towards the Christians and the Jews in the Quran

ADNAN OKTAR: It seems that there are many people against the Jews and the Christians in our country. What is worse is that these people base their enmity on religion, on Islam as if they practice religion properly. They are keen on playing the hero. They are keen on being against something. Before being against them, take a look at the Quran first. What does Almighty God commands you? "You will find the people most affectionate to those who have faith are those who say, ‘We are Christians.’“ But they disregard this commandment as if God has never said it. In another verse, God says "It is lawful to marry the chaste women of those given the Book before you." So why God allows you to marry these people if they are unbelievers?" Almighty God also says, "And the food of those given the Book is also lawful for you." Believing otherwise is wrong. The Quran already explains the fallacies in this regard. When they give this up, it means that they become Muslims. Is it hard to acknowledge the prophethood of our Prophet (saas)? I have talked to the Jews about this matter, a high-ranking rabbi told me, "This is an indisputable fact. Looking at Hazrat Muhammad (saas), it is obvious that he is a prophet." In other words, he said "This fact is beyond question." Then he said, "But, I am a Jew and I will not forgo my own religion. According to the Torah, I cannot abandon it, because we are bound to that religious law. We are the community of the Prophet Moses (pbuh). We cannot abandon this community. But, I definitely accept the prophethood of Hazrat Muhammad (saas)." If you do, then that is it. If a person says, "There is no deity but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God” then that person is a Muslim. According to his religion, he is already obliged to perform prayers and give alms. If he does not, at worst he will be a Muslim sinner. But he will be a Muslim nonetheless. Aren't the people of Turkey Muslims? Millions of people do not perform prayers. Aren't they considered Muslims? They are. By not performing prayers, they are only committing a sin.

AYLIN KOCAMAN: You have told before that the previous religious laws were sent as a part of Islam in the first place.

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, again please.

AYLIN KOCAMAN: All the true religions and their laws were sent as a part of Islam. Islam has been practiced since the time of the Prophet Abraham (pbuh).

ADNAN OKTAR: For one thing, God states "We made you into peoples;" “peoples.”  So the Jewish community is created as a people. So he cannot abandon his community, the Jewish community Bene Israel [the Sons of Israel]. He belongs to that community. And lastly, he will accept the Prophet (saas); that is all. Some people bear hatred towards other older religions. On what grounds do they do so is a mystery.
