You shouldn't threaten anyone's life on Twitter but definitely don't threaten Donald Trump's.
Because Donald Trump is now the President-elect, if you threaten his life on Twitter, the Secret Service will show up to your house and you may get fined and up to five years in jail.
The Secret Service and other similar government agencies are legally allowed to request user information from Twitter either via a court order or by filling out an "Emergency Disclosure Report".
Twitter is not the only platform monitored by the Secret Service.
Other platforms, like Facebook, are also being watched.
