Mydin group started life as a grocery store in Kelantan during the year of independence, 1957 by Mydin Mohamed. Now 60 years later, his son Datuk Wira Ameer Ali Mydin has taken Mydin Group into a sprawling retail empire with 267 outlets including 18 hypermarkets all over Malaysia.
Aliza Kim sat down with him to learn more about his philosopies in business and how he applied them to build Mydin Group to what it is now.
