Promo for WGNT airings of the 1994-96 Charles Perez Show. Following the end of his talk show, Perez (along with his sister, Michele Dabney-Perez) would host the final season of American Journal before going into TV news; at KCAL in Los Angeles (also producing Ricki Lake and Montel Williams' shows by then); then WSVN in Miami; WABC in New York before landing a spot as a lead anchor at ABC affiliate WPLG in Miami.
That lasted until 2009; when a legal battle with his ex-partner led to WPLG demoting and eventually dropping him (which led to a discrimination lawsuit).
