Donald Trump’s campaign manager has strongly criticized Vice President Joe Biden, even going so far as to compare him to “a bully.”
Kellyanne Conway made the comment during an appearance on 'CBS This Morning' on Wednesday in response to host Gayle King asking her about a hypothetical physical confrontation between Trump and Biden.
The Vice President began this line of discourse during a recent campaign speech when he said about Trump, “The press always ask me don’t I wish I were debating him? No, I wish we were in high school. I could take him behind the gym--that’s what I wish.”
A few days later, the Republican nominee fired back, telling a Florida crowd, “Did you see where Biden wants to take me to the back of the barn? Me. He wants it. I’d love that. I’d love that. Mr. Tough Guy.”
Back on the interview, Conway responded to King by saying about Biden, “I thought he acted like a bully.”
The campaign manager then went on to state, “It was very disappointing to hear the Vice President of the United States suggest violence the old-fashioned way. I think if Donald Trump said anything even remotely close to that we would’ve had our hair on fire for three days. We would’ve had high school psychologists coming in and talking on air, we would have been talking about bullying and violence.”
